FREE & CONVENIENT You can drop off
com puters, monitors, televisions, printers, fax machines, cables, cell phones, VCRs, stereos, or other small consumer electronics at our warehouse, anytime during normal business hours, six days a week. We have staff available to assist you at our loading dock.
We have trucks available to pick-up equipment in large volumes. We often purchase large equipment lots from corporate sources and welcome the opportunity to bid on available material. We do not purchase used computers from individuals.
We do not accept copy machines, microwave ovens, wooden speaker cabinets, rear-projection TVs, large wooden enclosed devices or any furniture. We do not accept household appliances such as toasters, lamps, etc. We do not take styrofoam, or large boxes
Recycling Fees - NOW FREE - There is NO CHARGE to recycle electronic items listed above. We simply ask that you include all accessories such as power adapters, original restore disks, andocumentation if possible, but not required. This will better allow these machines to be refurbished and returned to use. We aim to reuse as much equipment as possible.
Data Security - There should be concern for sensitive data left on the hard drive of your computer. For a $10.00 fee we will remove your hard drive from the machine and destroy the data while you wait. If you wish to have your data files saved to disk or transfered to a new machine we have a fully staffed service department to help assist your needs. Please ask about other technical services we provide
E-Waste Disposal -- All older electronic equipment not capable of reuse will be properly transfered to a State
approved recycler for proper disposal in accordance with current environmental law and industry standards. Nothing brought to our facility will ever end up in landfill.
We are an authorized eWaste collector by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB Cert.#100888). Renew Computers is required to report annually to both the CIWMB and DTSC. We recently sucessfully completed an on-site State audit of our facilitys and books (Dec. 2009).
